This is a campaign that I worked on about a talking brussel sprout from New Zealand. Because again, advertising is an extremely weird.
My favorite part about getting to work in NZ for a year was the sense of humor that this hilarious country allowed you to get away with in the work. “Russel the Brussel” is just a small example of the understated, self deprecating humor that worked well on this island in the middle of the Pacific. While the country was considerably small, their people were so amazingly different than in other regions, and therefore NZ often required its own work within global brands. It was fun getting to work on and translate brands like Heineken through the lens of this amazing country, as well as helping to grow local Kiwi brands like this one, My Food Bag.
